Beckenham Auction ... My husband and I recently appointed Deb Murfin and Paul Middleditch from Harcourts to sell our property at 33A Sandwich Road, Beckenham, Christchurch. Our family which consisted of two young children and one on the way, left Christchurch city on the night of February 22nd, after the second major earthquake. As we had only resided in Christchurch for two years and all our family, friends and employment were back in Palmerston North our home town, we decided to relocate. As you can imagine this was a very trying time for our family being uprooted without any prior warning and after a few months up north we decided there was no option but to sell our Christchurch property (one that we loved and had fond family memories of). It was a time of stress and financial hardship for us, however as soon as I handed the job over to Deb and Paul, I felt a huge relief as they were both so professional, organised and understanding of our situation. I was amazed at how they got straight to work, planning how to achieve the best results for us and after an informed phone meeting we decided to list the property for Auction. The whole pre-auction Marketing was faultless, Deb and Paul worked very well together and both knew exactly where the other stood in what needed to be done and although they came across several obstacles in reference to the tenants occupying the property, they were at all times extremely professional and patient and worked together to rectify any problems along the way. We were always so well informed as to the progress they were making in regards to potential purchasers or any other issues and through phone texting and phone calls daily I felt I was kept in the loop the whole way. Deb and Paul managed to find a potential purchaser within days of the property going to market and respected every decision we made when the contract was offered to us. After the property was sold their services did not end here but continued right through to settlement date and beyond. They were both very helpful in guiding us through every process in order to see there were no hick ups on settlement day.
