Shona has been involved with the real estate industry for 10 years. Her interest with real estate began when she owned up to eight rental investment properties. Shona drew a wealth of knowledge during this time and decided to train professionally as a Property Manager.
Shona’s first four years were initially working as a Rental Property Manager. She built this business to a substantial management level and grew a large client database. Shona still works with most of these clients today. The real estate industry is about working closely with a client and achieving, or surpassing the results expected. No two clients are the same and Shona likes to adapt her business to work at an individual level.
For Shona it was a natural transition to progress towards a sales and marketing role. Again, she built a business which continued to grow and expand with each year. Shona joined Harcourts Real Estate in 2010 as a Sales and Marketing Consultant and continued with this role for five years.
Shona has a genuine interest in real estate and keeps a close eye on the market trends. Real estate is more of a lifestyle than an employment choice. It is a demanding position, but very rewarding when developing relationships with both sellers and buyers. These relationships can build and continue for several years.
Prior to her involvement in the real estate industry Shona worked in sales and marketing with the ANZ Bank. She has also owned and operated a “fine dining” restaurant in Dunedin, Otago.
